Operalytix Operalytix has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. By agreeing, you accept these terms.
Zero tolerance
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You must not use Operalytix to send content that is illegal, sexually exploits or endangers children, harasses, threatens, bullies or intimidates others, promotes violence, terrorism or hatred against people based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, age, sexual orientation or other characteristics, is sexually explicit and sent without consent, impersonates others, or is spam, fraud or malware.
Reporting and blocking
You can block any contact, which hides their messages and drops anything new they send, and you can report a person or a conversation from the chat menu or by touching and holding a message. A report contains only the messages you select and is sent end-to-end encrypted to our moderation team after you confirm.
What we do about abuse
Operalytix has no accounts and messages are end-to-end encrypted, so neither we nor relay operators can read, remove or delete messages, and we cannot inspect conversations on our own. We review every report within 24 hours. When a report shows a violation of these terms, we reply to the reporter, record the reported user ID with the report, and refer the case to law enforcement where the law requires it or someone is in danger. There are no accounts for us to suspend, and our relays and push gateway never learn user IDs, so today they cannot refuse service to a particular person; where that becomes technically possible, we will deny the reported identity on the relays and push gateway we run. Blocking is how someone is removed within Operalytix: block them, and their messages are hidden and anything new they send is dropped on your device.
Your responsibility
You must be at least 16 to use Operalytix. You are responsible for the content you send and for keeping your recovery phrase safe. We cannot recover your identity or your messages for you.
No warranty
Operalytix is provided as is. It has not yet been independently audited. Do not rely on it where a failure could put you or others in danger.
Apple
These terms are between you and the developer of Operalytix, not Apple. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the app.
Child safety
We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material and for anyone who sexually exploits, grooms or endangers children. Report it in the app with the reason “Child sexual abuse or endangering a child”, or e-mail contact@operalytix.com with the user ID involved. Our moderation team handles these reports first. We report child sexual abuse material we learn of to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to the competent authorities, keep what the law requires for them, and cooperate with law enforcement.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police or emergency number first.
What a report contains
This note explains how reporting works; it is not part of the terms you agree to. Moderators see only the messages you include. A report contains the text of the messages you select, the reason you pick, your comment and the user ID of the person you report. Images, videos, voice messages and files are not forwarded to moderators: the report only says that a message had one, and of what kind. If the problem is in an image or a file, describe what it shows in the optional comment field.
