Privacy policy

The full privacy policy for the Operalytix app will be published at this address before the app is available. Until then, here is a short summary.

The app, in short

  • There is no account, phone number or e-mail address. Your keys and recovery phrase are created on your phone and never leave it.
  • Messages, attachments and calls are end-to-end encrypted. We cannot read them.
  • Relays see which of their mailboxes are used and when, but not the content or the sender. Relay traffic goes through Tor.
  • If you turn on push (off by default), your push token goes to our push gateway, which keeps it only in memory.
  • In fast call mode (opt-in), the operator of the call server you use sees your IP address during a call. That operator may be us.
  • No analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no crash-reporting SDK. If you share crash data with app developers in iOS settings, Apple passes crash logs to us.
  • If you send a report, the messages you selected reach our moderation contact. Nothing is reported automatically.

This website

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from third parties: fonts, images and scripts are served from this domain.

The web server keeps request logs (page, time, browser and a shortened IP address with the last part removed) for up to 30 days to run and protect the site.
