Coming to iPhone.
Operalytix is not on the App Store yet. A TestFlight beta is planned; the link will appear on this page when it opens.
Requirements
What you will need.
- An iPhone with iOS 26 or later. There is no iPad, Android, desktop or web version.
- No phone number, e-mail address or account.
- At least one relay. You can add relays under Settings > Relays, including relays you run yourself.
- A safe place to write down your 24-word recovery phrase. It is shown once.
Before you install
What to expect.
It is pre-release
The beta is for testing. The code has not had an independent security audit yet, so don’t use it where a failure could put people at risk.
The first connection is slow
The first connection to a relay over Tor can take up to a minute.
Push is off by default
Without push, messages arrive while the app runs. You can turn push on in Settings and read what it reveals first.
Build it yourself
From source.
Once the repository is public you can build the app yourself on a Mac with the pinned tools: Xcode 27.1, Rust 1.99.1 and Tuist 4.203.1.
mise install
./scripts/build-xcframework.sh
cd App && tuist generate
xcodebuild -workspace Operalytix.xcworkspace -scheme Operalytix \
-destination 'platform=iOS Simulator,name=iPhone 17' build
Every release publishes SHA256SUMS, a signature and provenance.json, so you can rebuild the core libraries from the signed tag and compare. The copy the App Store installs is re-signed and encrypted by Apple for each device, so it cannot be compared with the published hashes.
